StaaDXF is program intended for STAAD/ISDS package users. It is developed to help in situations when a lot of manual work is needed, and the work could be automated. Those situations are present, for example, when one exports model in DXF file to complete projects documentation. First version of StaaDXF could rearrange elements' labels and by that enable to users to continue work in AutoCAD without further corrections.
As today STAAD and AutoCAD are the mainstays in practical work of every civil engineer, it is not necessary to highlight the importance of creating a strong connection between them via DXF files. New version of StaaDXF comes with significantly widened set of capabilities. It relates, at a first place, to the area of results' calculation, as well as to certain checks that were not available earlier.
Next to the original possibility of rearrangement of model's labels in DXF file, StaaDXF 2.0 could insert calculation results in DXF file. Next to the deformations that include section displacements for the beam elements, you could form presentations for directions of main stresses for shell elements. This is also valid for upper, lower and mean fiber. This possibility, which is not even present in the STAAD/Pro , will allow you to have a complete insight in the flow of forces within your model and it will also enable you to analyze calculation results quickly and more certainly. In order to be more convenient, tension stresses are painted red, while pressure stresses are marked in green.
